THE ZOO is no ordinary band. When a huge demand for dates from Boston to Maryland and all points in-between far outweighs availability, you know this talented quintet must be something special. If a venue is packed and the line outside stretches around the corner, there’s a good chance THE ZOO are performing inside. Chosen from over 13,000 entries for MTV’s Ultimate Cover Band competition, THE ZOO placed as finalists and prize winners, giving them a nationwide reputation rivaling that of some of the country’s top recording artists.
Sponsored by Coors Light, the bands future grows brighter every day. The members include Randall John on vocals and rhythm guitar, exuding a charismatic intensity that fixates an audience on his every move. Scott Zant on lead guitar exhibits the same intense flair of performance. Steve Tobey on drums and Tucker on bass guitar have created a rhythm section that is tight and forceful. On female vocals is the incredible Ginger, who has added her powerful voice and beauty to this entertaining ensemble.
